The team

We're a team of enthusiastic thinkers and doers, dedicated to helping footballers become the best version of themselves whilst promoting the beautiful game we call football. Passion and ethics underpins everything we do.

It’s not just what you say…. it’s what you do.

Osric Powell

Football has been the constant thread in my life.

I’ve been involved in the game as a player, coach, chairman, assessor, referee and mentor.

I hold a Football Australia C Licence and have completed advanced coaching education in the Performance Phase (Skills Acquisition) along with formal study in Psychology for Football. I’ve also undertaken referee training and junior match official certification, because for me, understanding football properly means seeing it from every perspective.

In London, I served as Chairman of Old Thorntonians Football Club for 4 years, competing in one of Europe’s largest amateur leagues. That role demanded leadership, governance, budgeting and long-term planning. It required building culture, managing volunteers and taking responsibility for our success and difficulties on and off the pitch.

After relocating to Western Australia, I became Head Coach at Perth Royals FC, overseeing senior teams within Football West competitions. During that period, my teams achieved promotions and maintained competitive standards, but more importantly my teams developed a togetherness and shared culture that still exists today, long after many of the players have moved on.

At Bayswater FC, as assistant coach, the junior squad went unbeaten season in my first year. Success on the ladder was satisfying but watching players mature, communicate better and take ownership of their development was far more meaningful.

Beyond club coaching, I have delivered school and community football programs across Western Australia, served as a Football West State and Futsal Trials Assessor, sat on the Coaches Standing Committee, and assisted Futsal teams at National Championships. I’ve worked at grassroots level and inside representative pathways, and have children who participate in elite junior football programs which gives me a practical understanding of how the system really operates.

Professionally, I spent over 20 years in technology business development and leadership as well as radio broadcasting. That experience strengthened my communication skills, strategic thinking and ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. It also reinforced a principle I live by: actions speak louder than words.

I am deeply positive about football and the role it plays in shaping young people. I believe in high standards, honest conversations and continuous improvement.

I believe football in Western Australia can be better — and I want to be part of the effort to help improve it.

Football has shaped much of who I am, and I believe young players deserve better guidance on their journey through the game. That belief is what ultimately led me to create Proseed Football — an initiative focused on helping players understand their development, not just participate in it. By combining real coaching experience with modern performance analysis, Proseed Football aims to give players, parents and coaches clearer insight into how footballers improve and what meaningful development actually looks like.
